Hope you are getting some inspiration as to what to dress up as this Halloween! Although in Australia, Halloween isn't celebrated very much I still love getting into the festivities; through food, music, movies and costumes!
Something very highly on my bucket list is to go to America where Halloween is a BIG deal and the country is covered in orange pumpkins, spider webs and skeletons for second half of October. This year, I don't have any huge plans although I did have a few friends over for a little Halloween party! I thought I would run you through a few tips to having a fabulous Halloween day!
Music:
'This is Halloween' by Marilyn Manson
'Time Warp' by the Rocky Horror Picture Show*
'Monster Mash' by Bobby Pickett
'Thriller' by Micheal Jackson
Addams family theme song
Movies:
I haven't seen any Halloween specific movies, although I have been told that 'Hocus Pocus' is really good! I would recommend watching anything scary or mysterious! I am a bit of a scaredy cat but I LOVE thrillers; so a few of my faves include:
The Purge-watched this today with my friends! So creepy!
When a Stranger Calls
The Call (this is a must see!)
The Blair Witch Project
The Bone Collector
Food:
Toffee Apples
Halloween Cupcakes
Chocolate 'spider' crackles
'Bloody' Punch (also freeze water in a glove and put it in the punch for a spooky touch!)
Easy last-minute Costume Ideas:
Vampire:
Long, dark dress (preferably black and velvet-y!); dark red lipstick; ribbon choker; fangs!
Hippy:
wide leg pants, fringe vest, circle sunglasses, tie-dye anything, dainty head piece
Rihanna:
Leather, chains, colourful wig and lots of skin!
*Literally obsessed with this song at the moment. I think I have danced to it over 20 times in the past 2 days
