After yoga yesterday I practically sprinted to the newsagent to get my hands on the latest issue of Russh. For the past two months I have been so eagerly waiting for the next issue (which is becoming a regularity!)
I love Russh so much purely because they do things differently. Their free flowing writing techniques; and visuals are alternative, indie and cultured; with the magazine containing articles about musicians, models, fashion designers, artists, photographers and move directors steering away from the mainstream and well known personalities. They focus on people who are passionate about what they do; and don't listen to anybody else's rules-marching to the beat of their drum.
The editorials and 'photo stories' are absolutely stunning; set in different locations with a whimsical free spirited feel to them. Natural hair and makeup contrasts against well styled fashion; becoming the fashion director at this magazine is definitely one of my main dreams!
I love this editorial with Aussie girl Julia Nobis...reminds me of a little poem called Woods and Wildflowers by Linda Ori
Wandering back to my childhood days
Memory serves up delicious scenes -
Days spent roaming the silent woods
Gathering wildflowers and bruises;
Memory serves up delicious scenes -
Days spent roaming the silent woods
Gathering wildflowers and bruises;
Rest of poem here
INCREDIBLE pictures!!
