Graphic, vintage tee's are coming back! They were seen all over New York and London Fashion Week, being snapped up by all the street style paparazzi. They can be in the form of rock band tee's, random bright patterns or maybe even a print of your favourite tv cartoon when you were younger. They can be worn dressed down or slightly dressed up, paired with denim cut off shorts, leather skirts, boyfriend jeans, you name it!

I was inspired to make this post by Givenchy's rottweiler sweater, which I have seen all over street style blogs. Balenciaga has also given them a shot, with a sci-fi edge to them.

27 September 2012 How to rock different shorts!

It's spring time now where I live, and I have been trying to find some cute spring clothes that are fashionable but also steer away from the typical high-waisted-denim-shorts-and-midriff look that many girls my age are wearing. 

As much as i love wearing dresses and skirts, shorts are more practical and can also be worn to various casual events. Instead of wearing just plain denim shorts I am going to try to venture out and wear different styles of shorts. 

Check out these three different shorts, and the items I would pair them with!

This brown leather shorts can be paired casual, but I personally prefer them dressed out! Tan leather and stripes are a great combo and adding some solid colour accents will make a statement but not over crowd the outfit. This outfit can be worn in cooler months, or ditch the jacket for when the sun is out and shining! A great preppy inspired outfit, for those who are over dresses and skirts for night outs!


 An indie look which looks perfect for music festivals, and picnics. The daisy print shorts give the outfit a vintage feel, and the turban adds a little culture. This outfit is perfect for adding mix-matched accessories-anything made of beads, wood, feathers, you name it! The platform shoes (from Elizabeth and James) look very comfortable, so you can wear them all day long!  Love this outfit!
  

Paisley is such an interesting print, and it always is interesting to throw a little of this pattern into your summer outfits! These shorts consist of beautiful blues and warm yellows which are guaranteed to put you in a good mood! The ankle strap on the sandals are very in style at the moment, and the gold chunky watch adds a classic touch to the look. Very simple but extremely gorgeous outfit!

26 September 2012 my polyvore sets

I love the different textures, from the chunky gold necklace, to the brown leather and the studded Valentino shoes.

Ever since seeing them on Tumblr i have loved clear anything, especially clear bags, and clear heels. I also think kitten heels are making a comeback, with many style icons (such as the Olsen Twins) rocking them

Fluted Hems. I remember when i was little these were in style. These hemlines are definately making a comeback. It just goes to show, everything comes back in styles. Kind of falling for the lace up heels as well.

Super edgy and laidback. I desperately want a pair of the grey sweat shorts. I also love the leather folded bag. 

I don't usually wear bright colours but considering it's spring i want to get into the pastel trends. I think this outfit collection busts many trends such as coloured skinnies, studded loafers, statement necklace and peplum. 

Once again the Valentino heels and leather bag make a repitition in another of my sets. I also love this printed dress. It doesn't have much shape which is great as the print is so eye catching! Would suit any body type!

This outfit mixes classy with comfort. Once again i have incorporated my favourite material (leather and studs). The rounded sunglasses also add a vintage touch. Quite a modest outfit, for the conservative dresses, while also being super fashionable.

Strappy heels are my favourite shoe at the moment.The bright skirt breaks up all the black to avoid looking too dark. The tote bag adds practicality, for an outfit that perfect for dinner with friends or shopping.

With a simple maroon dress and plain black tote I added some caged heels, and cat eye sunglasses to make the outfit a little more fashion forward. I love the colour of the dress, and the length. Kate Moss would hopefully approve!

It's no secret that I love Christine Centenera's style. I reblog her on my tumblr (http://sistercouture.tumblr.com) often, and pin her in my Style Icon's board on Pinterest. I really and truly wish i could raid her wardrobe. SO I have made this list of things to wear to somewhat recreate her look!

This list includes:

• A structured blazer
• A printed t-shirt
• Black high heels (with a twist)
• A collared shirt
• A leather mini skirt
• Cat eye sunglasses
• A fitted mini dress

Christine Cenenera is the fashion editor for Harper's Bazaar, and also a celebrity stylist. She has become well known for her amazing fashion style, which has featured on many street style blogs, including The Sartorialist. She has worked as a stylist for Lara Bingle (whose style i also admire) and her favourite brands include Pierre Hardy and Ksubi.

I love her style so much! I think she mixed different textures and patterns extremely well, and always takes risks with what she wears. Usually she wears one piece which is very fashion forward, and the rest of the outfit suiting current fashion trends. I imagine a glimpse inside her closet would include a lot of different  textures such as lace, leather, studs and fur; and a whole lot of shoes!
