3 July 2014 that's so 70s

Images: 4thandbleeker | Chloe S/S 2014

Oversized, rounded with a coloured tint, 70s sunglasses are high up on my summer wishlist. Wear with wide leg pants, wavy long hair and a headscarf or with a bikini and oversized shirt at the beach...overgrown bangs are a bonus!

Play some 70s tunes, get out your polaroid camera and for once, forget about all the errands and chores awaiting for you. Your inner free spirit can finally come out to play.  Roller skates, Coca Cola cans, Bee Gees on the tip of everyone's tongues, hot pants as an accepted clothing piece...oh what a time to have been alive.

19 November 2013 boot scootin' baby

It's about time I did a thigh-high boots appreciation post. After all, they are one of three things  filling my mind at the moment ( among Breaking Bad and Dalliance Magazine's relaunch!)

I think they are one of those pieces that you love or hate; after all whenever something in fashion is forward and different you are sure to get a steady range of opinions. I happen to be on the furthest end of the spectrum, with this  one, my love for them perhaps nearing on 'obsession'.

I think they can look perfect with everything and anything. Paired with mini dresses, skinny jeans or winter coats they will instantly add a whole 'I know about fashion, okay!?' vibe to your outfit...in other words a whole lot of attitude and a hell lot of sass.

After doing my fair share of research into finding the best pair, the Stuart Weitzman ones are pretty much as good as they get (if you can excuse the price tag!)

It helps that Kate Moss fronts the campaign as well. She could wear a paper bag, and she'd still probably sell it to me.

10 September 2013 summer countdown

Summer is almost here! Just gotta get through spring (which merges very quickly into 32 degree days!), and then bikinis, BBQ's and fruit salads it is!

Clothing wise, I am dreaming of Miu Miu's creased bra top, Mania Mania jewellery and Organic By John Patrick slip cami's  but the reality will most definitely be playsuits, denim shorts and tortoise shell sunglasses. Oh well. At least one day I'll be able to dress like a Parisian travelling to Nice for their summer break.

My bikini wish list includes:

Whats on your summer wishlist?

6 September 2013 f u r

Although summer is approaching, fur coats have been on my mind after slightly stressing about my Europe December trip attire. Although I am not sure the logistics of how fur coats are made, as I have never really researched into it, if it's as horrific as the stories say than I think I will just stick to faux.

Regardless of real of faux, fur coats have the ability to make anyone of any age instantly chic. it's the perfect winter outfit because it gives warmth without the unnecessary layering. If I did own a fur coat (preferably in black), my dream outfit with it would consist of the Balenciaga Buckle Strap Ankle Boots; black skinny jeans and a Saint Laurent black fedora-easy peasy!

7 August 2013 finer things in life

Currently the only two genres/types/styles of jewelry that I am really into is anything with stones (see the post here) and dainty, fine rings, bracelets, necklaces and anklets. I feel like they can be extremely personal with a meaningful charm attached to it; or simply something beautiful and modest to wear. I love the look of layering these necklaces, which can easily achieved with 2 or so thin chained necklaces of similar lengths.

Despite my love of these little trinkets I can't exactly find any to suit my budget and uh clumsiness. I lose just about every thing smaller than my phone so spending over $100 on something so tiny probably wouldn't be the best choice. Although, if any of you want to buy one for your self I highly recommend check out Petite Grand  for their beautiful fine chain jewelry.

20 July 2013 stones and other pretty things

Pictures from wolfcubchronicles blog, pinterest and tumblr

Yes I am fully aware that this post was showing signs of a fashion schizophrenic, one picture showing a precisely cut jewelry piece, with a nice clean background then the following is a super bohemian stone set jumble of rings, necklaces, etc. But despite my inner undecided bohemian/classic jewelry debate one thing is certain-I am obsessed with ear cuffs (Ryan Storer to be precise, but without the price tag!), stone set rings (the Yves Saint Laurent gauche ring has caused that!) and dainty necklaces and bracelets. I haven't been a huge jewelry person up until recently when a.) I was assisting a fashion shoot (more on that later!) and I got to unpack all the AMAZING Petite-Grande pieces and let's just say it was love at first sight and b.) when I looked through the 2Bandits new look book.

So that you know exactly what I am loving in the land of fine jewels, chunky jewels, etc etc what pieces are YOU lusting after?

Also, Luce Ferguson (Sister of the fashion phenomenon Elle Ferguson) did a Day in the Life article for Dalliance Magazine. She is the talent behind the fine jeweler online shop babyanything. Shop her line here and see the article here
