Take a look at some of my favourites then let me know what your 2012 favourites have been:

So they have been a few of my favourite pictures lately! Let me know if you want me to do more of these 'inspiration boards' either fashion or other, beautiful pictures i find!

Oh and i almost forgot! What are all your New Year's Resolutions going to be?
Mine would probably be to keep chasing my dreams, and staying happy, positive and healthy!

Lots of love!

21 December 2012 leather caps and rock tee's

The baseball cap trend is the best excuse to dress casual, paired with sporty pieces, and comfy shoes. The leather cap is by far my favourite accessory at the moment, in case you haven't picked up on that reading prior posts ;)
My dark grey rock t-shirt is slouchy and is a great addition alongside the structured cap.

Hope you all have an amazing Christmas!
xx

7 December 2012 Philip Lim Pre Fall 2013

Ever since I laid eyes on a pair of Philip Lim's leather pants I fell in love with the brand! Sure, there spring/summer 2013 collection was great, complete with that layered, slouchy tomboy look that the brand is popular for; but it's their latest collection which to me is perfect. More than perfect.

There was a piece of leather in nearly every outfit, in the form of pants, thigh high boots or gloves. There was even a perfect jacket with tailored blazer, with leather sleeves-a perfect edgy addition to the luxe piece.

The whole collection featured such quality, luxurious materials which look warm, cosy and definitely filled with elegance and class.

Take a look through the collection and tell me what you think:

17 November 2012 bomber it up

A few hours ago I wrote for my love about bombers, especially the ones designed by Josh Goot. Immediately i went searching the web (and my mum's closet) for one, and sure enough i found on in our coat cupboard. Score! (Honestly, i would really suggest you searching through your mothers closet-you may find something you can label as 'vintage'). I paired mine in a casual outfit; with leather shorts and some brown boots. Super simple; but with killer pieces

my love for josh goot's bomber

I love everything about Josh Goot's designs. His bright use of colour and his strong patterns call for an eye-catching outfit that really distance you away from the crowd...which is totally a good thing in the world of fashion.

After seeing Christine, then Lara then Jessica Gomes rock various styles of bomber's from his latest collections, I really started to fall hard for this trend, which can be slotted in with the sport luxe trend (which obviously i am in love with).

I have seen many outfits, all over street style blogs such as Jak & Jil and Stockholm Street Style; all sporting this jacket in different ways but hands down my favourite outfit with this would include at least one of the following:
  • Leather of some sort
  • Baseball cap
  • contrast sport pants
  • boyfriend jeans
  • black beanie

So, today i took it into my hands to try out this trend; not with the Josh Goot bomber (to my disappointment; and lack of money) but with a plain black sleeveless bomber. Pictures will be up in a few hours!

Stay tuned!

14 November 2012 My must haves!

These are probably my few favourite things in my wardrobe at the moment. I am really into the structured/minimalistic/edgy style, as I have mentioned again and again in previous posts. All the above items can be worn together, or with separate outfits depending on your personal style.

Lace bralettes are all over the place, with Stella McCartney adding them to her lingerie collection. Most lingerie is meant to be hidden away, but not any more! Bralette's like this are seen all over the place, peaking out from loose t-shirts, or paired under a semi sheer shirt, if you are super daring. I love wearing mine with a racer back singlet, or a loose black maxi, with large armholes.

Even though peplum's season is coming to an end for some, for those currently in spring,  peplum is being splashed all over the market! With play suits and body con dresses all being peplum-ed, a safe way to get into this trend is with a structured neutral coloured shirt, that can be paired with leather skirts, printed pants or floral silky shorts!

These leather looking shorts are loose fitting, but I am desperate to find a pair of shorts that are tighter, and of a thicker material. I love leather shorts; hell I love leather anything; as it totally adds that edge to an outfit. These leather shorts can be paired with just about any colour. If you are in spring time at the moment, these shorts can be paired with neon's, tangerine and florals; whilst if your in Fall/Autumn you can pair these shirts with maroons, charcoals or even white for a contrasting outfit!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

9 November 2012 My favourite models

Magdalena Frackowiak
Magda

Magdalena is a polish fashion model, aged 26. She began appearing on international runways in 2006, and has walked the catwalk of many designers such as Elie Saab, Chanel, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton. She walked this year's Victoria Secret Show, and looked amazing as usual! I love her strong, defined features and the fact that she looks absolutely perfect in all backstage candids!

Cara Delevingne
Pinned Image

Cara Delevingne is a British model and socialite, aged 20. She is the sister of model Poppy Delevingne, and the daughter of a personal shopper and property developer. You probably recognise her as being the face of Burberry, and I think she totally rocks that young preppy look that Burberry strives for. Her fun and cheeky side also comes out in all her backstage candids with the many different faces she expresses!

Young Kate Moss
Pinned Image

Sure Kate Moss may still be an iconic model and style icon; her young modelling shots and early 90's style is what really inspires me the most. She had such a young, youthful appearance; and even though she may have been quiet a controversial person, her hard working attitude got her to the well known status that she holds today. I am particularly in love with her country styled wedding-that bohemian dress is perfect!

Jemma Baines
Pinned Image

Jemma Baines is a new Australian model, who won the Girlfriend Model Search. I love her angelic features, and her piercing blue eyes. She has not only achieved success in the Australian modelling Industry, she has been successful in the international modelling industry also; with walking the Louis Vuitton S/S 2013 catwalk; and many more! That's something she can definitely be proud of!

Gemma Ward
Pinned Image

Even though Gemma's modelling days are done she still remains one of my favourite models. Her unique look is striking, and to me she resembles a mystical beautiful creature, of some kind. Her prime modelling career strived in the years 2004-2007, and she was the 'It Girl' that had everybody talking! She became the first model to ever appear on Teen Vogue, at only 18 and was named as one of the top-earning supermodels in 2006. She has now taken to acting, and is appearing in the Great Gatsby film!

Daphne Groenveld
Pinned Image

Daphne Groenveld is a 17 year old model from the Netherlands. She was scouted when shopping with her mother, and ever since she has modelled for designers such as Dior, Marc Jacobs and Versace. My favourite work of hers was in the Dior Addict Ad, which showed playing on the beach, and skipping through the streets of St Tropez, slightly resembling Brigit Bardot (in my opinion). Her sweet, quiet nature and her unusual looks makes her high on my Top Models list!

Karlie Kloss
karlie

Karlie Kloss is most definitely my favourite model. Her bubbliness and her long, lean body serves to be exactly what every designer is looking for; and it shows! Her 'moody gait' catwalk is well known; and she has walked for so many designers such as Anna Sui, Zac Posen and so many more. Not only is she a queen on the catwalk, her list of editorial shoots under her belt is fairly lengthy, with Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Top Shop and Victoria Secret just a few brands which star Karlie in their campaigns!

SO that's my list of models-who are your favourite?

Also I am thinking of including my personal style into this blog-what do you think?

4 November 2012 Watson X Watson s/s 12

Absolutely adore this brand, and their spring, summer collection is amazing consisting of clean colours and crisp pieces! Love the use of netting and metallic accents!
Here are a few of my favourite looks:

I love the varied hemline on this skirt; and the textured fabric which makes the Little White Dress a whole lot more interesting!

I am in love with the use of netting in this outfit-adding to the sports luxe trend now! Also the white on white combo is perfection!

I am in love with boxy, suit-inspired pieces at the moment; and this dress is so crisp, and effortlessly chic. Love the tan shoes with perfectly contrast with the cream dress!

The green and blue hues of the pants give the outfit that summer feel; and the material makes the pants look super comfortable! I also love the breezy sheer top, with really pretty detailing!

This slim fitting monochromatic dress perfectly fits with my minimalistic style! I also love the high neck line which adds to the sophistication of the dress!

3 November 2012 Style icon: Montana Cox

Montana Cox is an Australian model and winner of Australia's Next Top Model. She has been doing extremely well, not only in Australia modelling for various brands such as Dion Lee; but she has also hit the international modelling market; modelling for Chanel and more!

I absolutely love her street style; mixing minimalistic trends with some of my favourite brands such as Givenchy and Acne! Her style is so effortless, consisting of black and white structured pieces. It's somewhat casual feel, gives her that young and carefree look, though.
