Psych Rock's New Rising

If your conversation with your friendship group is anything like mine, you'll know how much fun it is to predict what everyone in the group will do with their life, who they'll marry and what kind of mother they'll be.

It's that idealistic dream of our future, which is what being young is all about.

If I could 'pick' what my future partner would dress like, in a perfect world, I'll probably let Hedi Slimane take full control.

I've never really paid attention to menswear collections, that is, until I fell hard for Hedi's designs at Saint Laurent. Mastering a balance of Texas-inspired designs and rock n roll carried throughout each piece, I've never been so into men wearing fringe, skinny scarves, open buttoned shirts, and well, dressing better than their female counterparts.

Sorry for the double up on Calvin Klein posts-I promise there is more to me than the good ol' American designer.
I am really obsessed with the above dresses-floaty, thin, thin straps and somewhat revealing-beyond perfection!

I remember looking at this collection when it was presented at Fashion Week a little while, and just thinking how magnificant it was. I love couture that reminds me of mermaids, and majestic sea creatures and this did just that for me!
Tim Blanks (Reporter for Style.com) quotes about the collection:

'Different  kind of underwater magic'

'She [Sarah Burton] based her collection on the three G's: Gres for the pleating and draping, Gaudi for the architecture and Gaia for the sense of all encompassing oceanic life that infused the clothes, like the outfits composed of coral or shells.'

'As translucent as the inside of a shell' (about the colour palette)'

I never really paid a lot of attention to Bassike, mainly because I just didn't really bother to look at their clothes and collections; but after seeing continuous praises of their extremely comfortable clothing, worn by Elle Ferguson and in the pages of Aussie magazines such as Grazi and Shop til you Drop, I decided to have a little look.

Let's just say it has definitely become one of my favourite Australian designers. Their silhouettes are clean, crisp and simple and it's the kind of clothing you can wear anywhere and look extremely polished...without really having to try.

From this collection the top 3 things on my wishlist is the leather long sleeved top, navy blazer with leather sleeves and the greay marle sweater.

What about you guys?
