Oh what I would do to escape to Paris right now.
I once heard a quote about the smell of Paris being cigarettes and perfume, and I think that contrast between elegance and rebellion is what excites me so greatly about the City of Love. Mornings spent people watching at roadside cafe's, evenings among the city lights.

Holidays at la-la-last!
Nothing interesting to report, and very little plans. It's always good to have a holiday like that, once in a while, am I right ladies?
I'm going shopping tomorrow and I'm in desperate need of some delicate ear rings (I'm collecting piercings like there is no tomorrow! There will be no room on my ears very soon.) and some ankle boots for winter coming up (nooooooo!)

The next editorial I'll be shooting in Sydney is inspired by the latest Alexander Wang S/S 2014 and without giving much away it'll be school-inspired (considering I'm practically an expert in that field!) with a rebellious twist. I've begun sourcing clothes, with the mindset of rebellious teenagers during the 60s, skipping class and hiding out in the gym bathrooms; singing a little too loudly, cigarette in hand, giggling about the teachers and about their lovers. Highlighting the importance of friendship during these adolescent years and the crazy journey's you'll go on with your friend during your teenage years. Think: pinstripes, pleated skirts, oversized knits and button-up collars.
Get excited... I most definitely am!

If you know me, you'll know that I'll happily swap my nationality for practically anything. To me, being Australian seems so dull and uninteresting; and I long to be French, Russian (technically I'm 1/4 Ukrainian so...), Swedish (I'm on the verge of dying my hair 'Swedish' Blonde; I've just got a little more courage to gain!) , you name it!
I found this little piece by the amazingly youthful Caroline de Maigret (She's 37... I mean, come on!) whose Parisian style and lifestyle is practically jumping from each photograph I obsess over, of her. She spoke to i-D magazine, giving them a little insight into what it exactly takes to be Parisian during Fashion Week.
Don't mind if I do.
1. Complain that you can't smoke inside the catwalk tent.
2. Wear sunglasses to show that you're not bothered, but stop for every fashion blog photographer.
3. Don't brush your hair for the whole week.
4. Eat at the Marly and pretend you went to the Louvre.
5. Eat at the Café de Flore to feel like you've been reading Jean-Paul Sartre all afternoon
6. Order wine at lunch.
7. Paint your nails yellow to feel eccentric.
8. Cross the street when you shouldn't.
9. Pretend you've got something better to do than seeing a fashion show, but run to a computer to watch the shows live onnowfashion.com
10. Spend half an hour in your bathroom to make your make-up look effortless.
11. Sleep with a braid so that everyone thinks you had sex all night.
12. Wear black because you're too scared of making a faux pas.
13. Hide your hips in large pants so that everyone applauds your tomboy look.
14. Leave a very trendy party and pretend you're going to an even-more-exclusive party, when really you're just going home to bed.
15. Spend Wednesday afternoon with your child and his schoolmates in Disneyland Paris.
16. Go to a show with camembert breath.
17. Miss a show but still have a strong opinion on it.
18. Be late and use the excuse that you're just too busy. Unlike the ones waiting for you, obviously.
19. Cut all queues. After all, it's your city.
20. Be too busy to finish the i-D list.

Who can believe it's almost April?
It feels like just yesterday I was ringing in the New Year with my Dalliance Magazine partner-in-crime Jasmine; setting off fireworks in her backyard in England.
Time is going too fast! I wish I had more time to allocate to this blog and all my aspires in the industry but school is quickly intensifying and I'm not loving it! Between assignments, studying and homework; this blog and working on my magazine definitely fuels my creative mind and gives me some much needed relief. I know I've promised more personal posts, but bear with me...they will be coming!
